An Epic Day

Back in the early 90's, a friend and I decided one Saturday to go to Elitch Gardens, a Denver amusement park.
Around noon, we took a lunch break and headed to the liquor store across the street, where we each purchased a bottle of MD 20/20, which we drank in the Elitches parking lot.
Heavily buzzed, we headed to the log ride, where we got into a water fight with some kids in the log next to us.
Wet, we exited the ride, where a couple of hot girls asked, with judgmental looks on their faces, if we'd been in a water fight.
We got back in line, and this time we had a real doozy of a water fight, which drenched us. My friend had heard that if you lean forward right at the splash zone, you'd get wetter. As we approached the bottom of the slide, I felt like a rock had hit me in the back of the head. Only it wasn't a rock, it was my friend's face, resulting in an immediate black eye for him.
We exited the ride, drenched, and my friend sporting a shiner. The same two girls were still there, this time with looks of disgust aimed our way. I mean, what would anybody think when they saw that?
To prove that some days are more epic than others, we started the morning with a 20-mile bike ride. After Elitches, we went to see My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult in concert, where we purchased Kooler than Jesus t-shirts and the Confessions of a Knife CD.
After the show, we headed downtown to a club called Fishdance. We asked the DJ if he had anything by The Mission, and were surprised when he played it, and even more surprised that we actually got a couple of girls to dance with us, t-shirts and black eye be damned.
As I said, it was an epic day.

Yeah, if I had kids (or rather, grandkids at this point,) I have to edit the drunken tomfoolery, and my story would be "I went on a 20-mile bike ride one morning with my friend. Now go outside and play."

@teamfreak16 We always thought it was marvellous if our parents opened up about any little 'bad' thing they had done.

@JudyEv - Come to think of it, I've never had kids, but my girlfriend is pretty sick of this story. Actually, I have a lot of drunken revelry stories with this particular friend, and she's pretty tired of them all.

Oh, that was definitely the main factor!

@teamfreak16 yeah, it's evil stuff. One company I worked for was in a rough part of town, and we would have regular street theatre in the vacant lot across the road. MD was usually involved.

@Telynor - I now shudder when I think of drinking that stuff. At least it wasn't Cisco. That was bad news.

It was. I don't see how we could have packed any more fun into it if we'd tried.

No, they were pretty disgusted with us. Apparently, we must have been a little immature for them.
