What are you looking forward to in the near future?

Since we will soon be in the month of March and Daylight Savings Time, that means April isn't all that far away. By April the little garden should have many veggies growing and thriving. But it's really May I'm looking forward to.
We will probably open the pool in April, but it will be May before the water is ready for humans. Ruby can swim in 60 degree water but we can't. We open it early just for her.
I live for summer, always did. I can't wait to head outside and enjoy the peace and quiet in our own backyard oasis. That's when my time inside and in here will be limited. The older I get the less outdoor time I'm willing to give up.
What are you looking forward to?

I look forward to springtime and the wonderful warmer weather that will be ours. The flowers blooming,, birds chirping, all bring me joy. Summer is my favorite time of year as well. I can't wait to start my garden. We will probably start looking for the seeds we will need soon. We are going to start our plants from seeds this year.

We only have an 8 x 16 raised bed so we have to carefully plan what to plant. We have all our seeds, as soon as the stores stocked them we bought them! Lettuce plants and other veggie plants are out too we need to get lettuce, we eat lettuce from the garden from April to October .

@AbbyGreenhill I have never grown lettuce. I really don't have the space.

@ElusiveButterfly We only have an 8 x 16 raised bed and since lettuce goes in early most of it is finished around July so we have room where that was - then in Sept. more lettuce gets planted.

It seems so interesting and fun to have four seasons there, so you are always looking for something special in different seasons. For me, who is staying in tropical country, we don't have such beauty or restrictions at the same time. The plants in the garden grow almost throughout the whole year, the pools open everyday as well.
For me, the biggest moment I am looking forward to in the near future is definitely the birth of my baby, which will be in May, three more months from now.

@AbbyGreenhill I guess when you go to Australia, you might find it strange to have warm Christmas as well.

I lived in Hawaii for two years so I know what it is like to only have one season - Christmas was strange with warm weather! You only have a few months to wait...it will go fast.

@AbbyGreenhill The evenings are not too hot, except some days in July. It's pleasant to eat outside.

Hello Abby - good to see you - and Ruby - here.
Glad summer is coming for you - and for Ruby and her swims in your pool.
We're heading towards winter, and I'm not looking forward to that. Darker for longer, to match my mood lately.
What am I looking forward to - that at least I know will definitely happen? My eldest of two sons went off to university this year for the first time, and he's coming home for a short holiday in about 3 weeks' time. I look forward to seeing him then. It's the first time I've been separated from him for this long - it will be two months he's been away, when he comes home for a bit.

@AbbyGreenhill been missing you and all the others too. I'm not in too good a head space right now, or lately, but I thought I'd venture "out" a bit. Nobody can message me right now, but I'll see, I may change it down the line. Good to see you, and I appreciate you being happy to see me.

@infatuatedbby That is the Pool House - there are two rooms, one hAS 1/2 bath and Pool filter and the other room for storage. Outside is sink, smoker (we took the grill out) picnic table, swing, hammock...my husband could technically live out there!

I am looking forward to what you are looking forward to, warmer weather, gardening and swimming in our back yard pool we have. Your dog , Ruby, is a lucky dog to have such caring "parents", getting the pool ready early just for her to swim in.

She totally ignores the pool area all winter. She won't even walk on the cover if her toys wind up on it. To her it doesn't exist.

Your pool looks like the perfect place to relax and bbq beside! I am looking forward to Easter this year as I get 2 whole weeks off for the holidays! I don't think the weather here will be warm enough this year to do much though as we have been having a very cold spell!
