IT jobs are the highest paying jobs in the Philippines last time i checked. go for it.. by the time you'll get in, they'll let you specialize. may it be hardware, in software, networking, programming, etc. depends what you like or where youre more skillful. goodluck..

What I can advise you is you go with your passion, or maybe with your talent. Because if you choose a course which your heart does not really belong to or not really your interest, you might encounter some emotional conflict later. But prior to this, you should also take into consideration the industry in which your chosen course belong to. if you already made up your mind taking I.T., i think its good, with today's Technology, i think 5- 10 years after you graduate, you'd still have a job. Good luck to your studies. =)

Go for the course that suits your interests and since you have decided to pursue IT, go for it. It has been consistently the highest paying job even for fresh graduates. Technology eveolves everyday and so the demand for the job increases as well. More importantly, it allows you to work in any country and even within the 4 walls of your room. With these reasons on hand, I believe your mom's money won't be put to waste if you'll study well and graduate with an IT course.
