I would love to visit Vietnam soon. I would like to visit my family members and travel to popular tourist spots. Also, try the authentic foods too!

I think visiting Vietnam will be a culture shock. My mom said when I go to Vietnam I'll most likely come back home eating everything as I'm a picky eater.

@infatuatedbby, welcome back! Vietnam is a beautiful country itself but just as a part of the hardest to explain by words thing, culture shock is what you may see in Vietnam. But as a lot of people from America also come to Vn for working, i think a trip for visiting does worth itself

@infatuatedbby it's almost like me, if people give me hamburger, salad, bread, fast food like in the US i won't survive after 2 weeks. I love eating Vietnamese food, and taiwanese, and Japanese food I did taste some but as time goes on I love Vietnamese food more.

Im so sad to hear that your husband suffered a bad time in Vietnam, may be as alot of Vietnamese people do suffer from another lifestyle in different countries around the world. Its all about life. I am so sad to hear that you dont like to visit Vietnam.

My husband and I visited Vietnam in 2012, and we travelled around a bit. We arrived in Hanoi, and during our stay there we went on a daytrip to Halong Bay. It was really beautiful. I enjoyed the time that I spent there and I took many photos. In Dalat we visited Crazy House. It was really fun to explore that place, it is definitely unique. Our last stop was Ho Chi Minh City where we visited some of the sights and enjoyed the hot weather.
We had some language problems in Dalat. Many of the waiters and shop owners didn't speak much English, and it was a bit hard to communicate with them, aside from that I didn't have any problems during my stay in Vietnam, and I had a great time.

@anh101 Yes, I would like to visit Vietnam again in the future. I have been to Hanoi, Dalat and Ho Chi Minh City, which other places in Vietnam would you recommend?

@Porcospino i suggest that you should go to Quang Binh Province where has Phong Nha Cave and Ke Bang National Park (Hollywood KingKong 2 Was shooting last week here). In the North part, there are places such as: Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh with Bai Dinh Padagoda (the biggest pagoda in the Southeast Asia) and Ha Giang tour (but Ha Giang Tour should be in Vietnamese Tet Holiday then it's more fun)

This may sound weird, I would like to visit a Fish sauce factory and buy boxes of fish sauce. I will also ask the locals where can I buy Bò kho ,Bahn Mi and Ragu Bo. I wanted to taste those dishes.
