@andriaperry I have known too many women who go to Church every day and than they gossip about everybody and everything. It's not necessary to go to Church to be good people.

I am not sure that church gets you to heaven anyways.

If the church was near, I would go. It is too far away for me to get to. I dont drive as it is. I mean I can drive but dont have a car which I dont want anyway. So instead I get the church bulletin in email and keep connected that way.

@andriaperry You might change your mind if you found a great one. We have an amazing church that we go to and I love going. In NC where we used to live we had no good churches so we didn't go either but now I love going to our church!

I've never watched Joel Osteen, but I do go to church every Wednesday and Sunday. I greatly appreciate doing anything to bring me closer to God. ^_^

We are in a study on Sunday mornings discussing “Going to church” versus “Being the church”. In a nutshell, “the church” is not just attending worship services with the assembling of faithful believers. It is that and more. It's a lifestyle of the faithful who have made a commitment to reflect the love of Jesus in their lives and share the good news (the gospel message). The word “church” means the “called out”. We are called out of the world and set apart to do good works and carry out the Great Commission ("Go ye into all the world ..." Matt 28:19). I think you understand my meaning. In response to your question though: The church is a family. Do you watch your family?

I grew up Catholic, went up to and including 8th grade in a Catholic school. Religion was pretty much shoved down my throat, in my opinion. I haven't participated since I was 16.

The real church is the people not the building you can have church without going anywhere. The Bible clearly states that where there are 2or more people gathered in my name I will also be.
