This week, while out walking the dog, I've noticed that the insects are alive and active. On our walking route, we have a childrens play area, which has a boarder of lavender bushes, and I've noticed the bees and butterflies are busy flitting around doing their thing.
There are not very many flower boarders in our town as we live in a dry area, we've had hardly any rain for the last three years, much less than the national average. But we still have several nice landscaped areas using trees and shrubs, that survive in drought like conditions.

Signs of spring are here also. I see the pastures across the road just turning green and I know I've seen buds on some of the trees.

i jest wanna climb through the puter screen 'n take a big whiff! i adore lavender 'n it's purty hardy schtuff. i'd many plantin's 'f such 'til year 5'f the drought when they finally gave't up. i've planted a couple this past year (when the rains came), this time where there's no caliche under the soil (quite the feat where my spread's at, lol). hopefully they'll flourish 'n bring me years'f joy. not jest the sight'n smell, but the lil critters that hang out 'round 'em's well.
big hugs 'n love!

@sueznewz2 I guess I was thinking more that, if there is a bee, they don't go charging off as soon as they see a camera!

I am so jealous, there will be no blooms here for a while yet. There were flowers in Florida and I enjoyed every one.

Its nice to see your picture of the spring flower, complete with the bee! We are experiencing mild weather today, but we are not near as far in the spring season as you are. I was just outside a little while ago checking my flower beds, I've got a lot of cleaning up to do once it warms a bit more.

Those are early signs of Spring and here in Canada would actually be early signs of Summer so that sounds like good news to me!
