Moving Headaches

Myself and family have been in a home for almost 2 years that our landlord refuses to fix things because she claims she doesn't have the money. We have been looking for a new house to move in to as this one is falling apart and not big enough now with 4 kids. I'm talking front porch roof caving in, gutters breaking off, mold in the tiles of the bathroom wall, and much more problems.
Our luck has not been too good for house hunting as well. Some obstacles we have run into have been the renting price and having a Husky from a Champion bloodline. So, he's quite big. A lot of renters only accept small dogs. One big problem we have run into is renters wanting to collect a bunch of applications at once and then decide. Even when there aren't a lot if any bites at their house except us. I just don't get it. My fiancee and I are mentally drained at the moment but we need to get out of this house.
On a brighter note, good morning everyone.

As a landlord, I was not keen on tenants with dogs. For some radon they felt that it was Okay to let their cats destroy the carpeting and window sills. The next tenant felt they didn't need to scoop the poop their dog left all over the public property. Not to mention the odours that were impossible to deal with.

It is a serious problem no doubt, I guess you need to look for some solution that is within your reach , why not try and repair the place yourself and negotiate on the rent with your owner. In India many tenants do that and it is mutually beneficial, not sure how it works there ..

It sounds like a big problem. Not a place that is in any way safe for you or your kids. I do hope soon something will turn up for you. much good luck.
