When you read the sentence "Home Sweet Home", we don't appreciate it that much. But when we come home after a few errands in the cold last day of February, we sure appreciate the quote. I had to go out this morning and I didn't realize how cold and windy it really was. A torture to me. Now, I am back, lunch has been done and dishes washed and now I have a bit of time to spend here in the comfort of my office chair and in front of a south window.

@marlina I love it when I can be home on a cold day, comfortable and warm. Our weather here in Riga, Latvia was in the minuses today so we didn't go out but it still felt cold all day. Took a shower, turned up the heat and now I am doing a bit of catching up.

I always say when I go away for a few days, that it was nice to get away but I love coming home. I love the say "Home Sweet Home", it has a very warm feeling, comfortable. I also don't like the wind, and find myself on windy days staying inside, messes with my allergies too much.

Right. Not until you experience the comfort of your home after a hard day outside, you won't truly feel how sweet home really is.

I sure do appreciate this quote now that I have my own home with my family. Every time we come back home I take a big sigh of relief because it is ours and it feels so good. =)

So glad that you appreciate where you live now. It took you a long time to get there but now that you are, you are grateful and you do appreciate every moment there. And like Martha Stewart would say "That's a good thing."

I don't like to go out either in winter or summer. For me home is always a better place than to visit any destination

I often think of that old saying home sweet home, there is no place that I'd rather be! It was an awfully (cold) windy day here too, glad that you made it back and are in your chair comfortable and warm again.

So true..... there's nothing as comforting as arriving home, after a difficult day and in bad weather too ...and knowing you don't have to go back out...
