I Will Wait

I will wait
While a little bird scratches its beak
on a high up mountain peak
While that teeny piece of rock
tumbles far below to dock
I will wait
I will wait
While only once a year
The little bird sheds a tear
And scratches its beak
on that mountain peak
I will wait
I will wait
While the bird picks at
and scratches the mountain flat
Until that mountain is no more
and my heart no longer sore
I will wait
That long I will wait
for you

What a nice song you have just wrote. Did you write it by yourself ?
You better consider we can live up to 120 years though, so you can't wait so long for the bird finish grinding the mountain.
When the river flows, the water slowly grind the rocks, making them round and smooth.
It takes time though, but, it happens. If you steadily do small steps toward your goal, you will make it finally, and find the one you are waiting for.
Plus, the beautiful photo you have uploaded, has you looking at the river. I like it because of the power of the river to change the rocks, the same way everyone can achieve with some dedication and small steps with time.

@stringer321 Thank you for your beautiful and long comment, mor. Yes, I wrote it myself, this morning, right here. I did think of a story my father once told me when I wrote it, though. My father explained to me how long eternity was. He told me that once a year a little bird sits on top of Table Mountain (in Cape Town in South Africa) and that the little bird sharpens its beak on the top of Table Mountain. And a teeny minuscule piece of "Table Mountain" crumbles off when the little bird sharpens its beak. And when Table Mountain is no longer there, that will be the end of eternity - that will be how long eternity is.

@teresaschultz You still have chosen to upload a photo of you looking at the river.
Why did you choose that photo and not any other photo like a mountain or a bird ?

@stringer321 That's an interesting question, thank you, mor. I'm not totally sure why I chose this photo instead of a photo of a bird or of a mountain. Perhaps the river is at the bottom of the mountain ...
