I do not bring big amounts of money so I prefer cash. I put the money usually on my front pocket of my pants.

You can bring small amount of cash but if you are going to do grand shopping, you better bring with you the atm.

We always prefer to pay by credit card as much as possible, as we do not need to withdraw so much cash from the ATM machine, moreover we can just pay off everything once a month from the credit card payment. We can also earn the points for redemption later as well.
But, not everywhere here accept credit card, so we also need to bring some small amount of cash with us all the time.

@ida123 Yes, I agree that if we use credit card, we really need to be more responsible. We need to pay the bill on time, and it's better not to leave any debt there too. Moreover, I think credit card is for us to "substitute" the cash, not to spend the money in future. So, we still need to watch our spending, not to simply use the credit card to spend the money we do not have enough.

Credit cards also serve benefits to buyers who doesn't want to bring cash or don't like to fall in line just to withdraw some amount from their ATM card but be careful, if you forget to pay on due date, it adds interest and penalty.

Cash, only for the specific necessity that I need and I make sure that it is safely kept. I don't want to be tempted to buy things that I don't need. Hence, I don't bring my ATM card with me.

@ida123 I also do the same. The list limits the things that I should buy. For someone like you who runs a store and who purchases items in bulk, payment through ATM card is more convenient and safer.

I usually shop with cash, but I do not carry a purse, for someone to grab. My money is secure on my person.
