Busy creating a new website
I know many of you know I’ve been missing from Mylot over the last few weeks. I’ve been busy creating a new website. I do love creating websites they can be fun and challenging at times. I love to see what you can do and how it looks and feels when building a website. The one I’ve been creating isn’t anything fancy it’s rather plain in design but it does the does the job it’s meant to do.
The website is for my knitting side of things. I bought the domain name (manmadeknitting) a few months ago and did nothing with it until about a month ago when I started to build the website. Then like so many other things I do I got side tracked and it was only a few weeks ago I decided I really need to be doing something with it.
I’ve added some products to the website which also link back to my Etsy store. I hope over the coming weeks to had more and looking forward to my first sale from my new website.

@LadyDuck Well he doesn't have to do them all at once, just take is time. I think one would have been a good start and then go from there.
I have my eye on another other which I might decide to buy yet as it goes with on of my other websites. It's one of the newer extensions and not a dot com.

I've been considering creating a website for my many musings and also as a way to try to sell some of my short stories. However, working as a software developer during the day dampens any desire to do that sort of thing in my spare time!!

Yes perhaps you will be able to sell directly from the site instead of on Etsy.
You can add payment options too.
Good for you and good luck Kev..I will try to find it.
Put a newsletter subscription on the site so people will know when you have new items.
I took a look at it , it is lovely :)

@kevin1877uk Back in the days when I was familiar with the process it comprised of individual text files with HTML instructions.

@Jessicalynnt Thank you, I have much more to do there yet. It's the first day that I've let people see the website, thinking it's ready enough for people to visit.

You your knitting is literally made by man, meaning you? That's great. My brothers did some knitting when they were young, but I don't think they do it any longer. Although I don't know that many personally that sell on etsy or zazzle, you're the first guy I've heard of doing this, so kudos to you.

I don't know of any other guys either myself, I don't know any other guys that knit personally and other the years never said anything about it. It took me time to even write about it hear but now I'm ok with it, many people here know I knit.
I'm sure there are other guys who can knit but would rather not say so.

Good to hear you have been getting back on track with developing.
I've been delaying some application programming myself recently. Maybe seeing someone else going at it will make me get back to work. I hope.
Anyways, welcome back!
