The book arrived today

The book arrived today I’m always interested in other people and how they are doing, how they earn either online or with other ideas they might have. A month so ago a fellow Mylot member RK Finnell @irishidid mentioned she had written and published a book. After finding out the name of the book I did find a copy of it on amazon. I decided I would buy a copy of the book and received my copy today. I think it's awesome to know someone who's had their work published. I'm looking forward to reading it sometime soon. I think it would be amazing to have a book published, I don’t know if I could ever do it although I’ve had a few ideas in the past. It’s left wondering if there are more people on Mylot who have had their books published. I know two other people ( @Jessicalynnt and @KristenH ) both are editing their work and would buy a copy when they are published. Have you ever had a book published?

@kevin1877uk I did not know about Arthur Chappell's book either, but I can guess that it is about pub names or real ales.

I havent no Kev. That is wonderful you have got that book now from a myLot member too. I have a downloaded copy of a former myLot member Darkwing (RIP). It is simply marvellous and I often read it.

Yes I think it's amazing to have someone published work and from Mylot too. I didn't know Darkwing although the name seems to ring a bell.

@TiarasOceanView I did a little bit of searching and it sounds like she was from the UK. What happened to her, I mean when did she pass away, she was last active in 2010 here.

My caliber is not of that level to publish a book, but I take pride for others who posses this unique quality.

I had a poetry anthology published a few years ago with a poetry group that we've met at an online writers conference. I know it's being reprinted now with updated information. When it's set, I'll post the link on Amazon. I would love to get my novels in print someday this year.

@kevin1877uk I like to think of it as the twisted version of Irish folklore. Even with all the research I had to do, I had a great time writing it. However, I have had to correct people on the pronunciation of Bean Sidhe more than once!

I haven't written a book yet. But I would certainly love too. I'm currently working on one, but it's going slowly. My life is pretty busy, so it can be hard to write. I hope you enjoy your book.

It was nice of you to write this Kevin and then show the picture along with it. This is good idea. All I seem to get in the mail these days is bills so something delivered in brown paper would be a real treat.

@Bluedoll I agree there, I sure they spent days, weeks and months writing, editing, rearranging to get it right and to be complete

@kevin1877uk When you do get something nice the mailman's face doesn't seem so threatening. We know someone put a lot of time and effort into a book to get it to the point where its says completed.

@kevin1877uk Well candy plays a part. The simplest way to describe the book is that it is loosely based on Irish folklore.

Ok I beleive it about candy "Step inside and see every candy you can imagine". "Willy Wonka meets Kicksaw Candies". I'll let you know more once I've started to read the book. I thought it would be awesome to have someone whom I know published work and who is here on Mylot. How often do you know a writer, no I think it's amazing, and looking forward to reading it.

I've never written a book but do admire those who can put all their thoughts on paper and create characters we can either love or hate
