Never mind about my beliefs for the moment. How would you explain to me why God is real for you? Why would you want to do that?

for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see--such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him col 1:16 if you and I can see and breath that means he is real

I had been through some eye opener situations and seen some things you would think you will only see in scary movies or on TV but going through the things I had been through had me turn to God because he is our protector our Creator he is the almighty and most powerful and the only way I would had been able to protect myself from evil is through him cause how else would I had been able to protect my self from the things we can't see how would I been able to stop something that I don't know is activated? Now again they say well "if you don't believe it nothing can happen to you" well I know it exists and im will not be ignorant towards it either and that why I turn to God and that's how I know he exist it says in the Bible that we withhold the most powerful weapon and that is scripture from the Bible. And without scripture how will we be able to protect our selfs from evil?

You really can't. The concept of God requires faith. Which is a subjective topic. Atheists and some religious people (like me) want solid proof. A book claiming some God exists is not enough evidence. The discussion of Jesus is a touchy one, since there are far too many origin stories that contradict each other. When an atheist sees a religious person practice his/her faith, he sees the following : 1. The devotee goes to a church/mosque/temple. All these structures are man made. 2. The devotee reads a holy book. Books are man made. 3. The devotee engages in prayer. The language(s) used to recite the chants are man made. 4, The devotee participates in a religious festival. Festivals are man made Therefore an atheist sees faith being exercised through man made instruments. To convince an atheist that God exists, you need to show us the God that you speak of. I know I can't, even though I'm semi-religious. Hence I don't bother until I have solid proof. I'm a Hindu, and the Rig-Veda (one of 4 Vedas) doesn't even mention the concept of God, rather the concept of Humanity and Dharma (Moral Law). It includes details about demi gods, those who aren't as powerful as God himself/herself. The rest of the Vedas mention things about Gods, but again, those are not verifiable facts.

@Noloveis You refer to the quote from the bible. I'm a Hindu. Why would God (Jesus' father) create Hindus? Shouldn't I be proof that Brahma (the creator) exists?

You don't. Theist or Atheist, both are believers. Theists believe in God, atheists believe in science. But, both Religion and Science haven't been able to answer the mystery we see around us alone. You can ask a theist that if God is there, why can't we see Him? And, there would be no logical reply to that. You can ask an atheist that if the Big Bang has created everything, what created the Big Bang? How would you explain the phenomenon of "Soul" with Science? You can't. Either ways, you believe in something. I feel it's better to unfold our own myth. Enlightenment is not imaginary. If we don't want that, we may settle with not believing in anything and being okay with it, or believing in something and being okay with it.

You can't. if someone asks me why I believe I can answer that. However, I don't think you can walk up to someone who doesn't believe in God and arbitrarily convince them to believe. In fact, the Bible says so: 1 Corinthians 12:3 says "no man can call Jesus "Lord" unless prompted by the Spirit." NOT man, God's Spirit. I think a lot of people who say "I saved someone" is puffing themselves up and ignoring the teachings of Scripture.
