Commercials about starving kids

It's one thing to know hunger is a serious issue. But I've been reading about how Non-Profits and Charity Organisations have spent more than $5 million just making awareness advertisements about this issue. It seems illogical to spend that much on an advert, rather, they could've used that money to help these kids in dire need. What are your thoughts?

Lots of those "supposedly" charitable non profit organizations are just a place for big executive salaries and perks. I do not trust most of them.

This. I'm not donating towards some fat salary. I'm donating to help people in need.

These days, you really have to research "charities" before deciding to give. So many of them spend only a small percentage on the people they claim to help. Even some of the big name ones that we thought we could trust. When the people running the place are making a ton of money instead of putting that cash to use help people, something is wrong.

I understand what you mean. It doesn't make sense that money could've been used elsewhere.
