Have you ever been attracted to something you can't do?

We had gone to Kerala last year to celebrate my parents 30th wedding anniversary. For those who don't know, Kerala is the adjoining state to my state Tamil Nadu and is known as 'God's Own Place' locally. It is very beautiful with scenic backwaters, lush greenery and houseboats. Dishes cooked with fish are very popular there.
The picture above is the view from my room at the resort where we were staying. I do not know swimming, but I always liked water and swimming pools. My dad is the only swimmer in my family and my son was just two when we went on that trip.
I always get into swimming pools when I have a chance and just play in the water with my sister and my son though all three of us don't know swimming. I really enjoy being in the water and I always prefer resorts with swimming pools. I find that a bit puzzling. I'm thinking of joining swimming classes along with my son couple of years later. Or maybe its too late to learn swimming, I don't know...
Have you ever wanted to try something but you have not gotten a chance till now?

@Scindhia I guess that is true but perhaps there is still a chance if you had one-on-one tuition perhaps rather than joining in a larger group. But some things aren't worth the effort are they? I'll never learn to roller skate now.

@silvermist I'm not a vegetarian. But I'm not fond of prawns. I like only fish in sea food though I have tasted crab, prawn and lobster.

It is never too late to learn swimming.
Swimming allows you to exercise your whole body, and it is good to ward off many ailments related to old age.
Your son will learn much faster than you, so it is better to learn with adults, and not with your son.

I'm sure they will have separate classes for adults. I will check them out. Swimming is indeed a great exercise.

The reason why I didn't join any kind of swimming lessons was because of my ears

Not as such, I've always done what I wanted to do. :)
