My dad is going to get his first tattoo

My father has had a few strokes over the years. This last one which I believe was 3 years ago left him disabled. He is not physically changed much but his memory isn't good with things so he was unable to work after.
He and my mother came up with an idea for a tattoo for him to get. It will be a chain and a lock and will say "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"
After my husband dying I really hate that quote but it means something different to everyone.
I told him I will take him to get it done. I will be calling at noon to see if the shop where I think he should get it done is open. If they do not respond I will see if he wants to take a run up tomorrow while they are open for a consultation. It said on their site coming in to talk to them during open business hours is the best way to reach them.

He showed me the drawing that my mother did again today. We are planning to drive up Monday to talk to the tattoo artists and see when he can get his tattoo done. My sister and I were telling him how it feels. He is getting one on the arm in the same spot that my sister and I got ours. We both agreed it didn't barely hurt there. His will go around his whole bicep though so it might be more tender toward the insides of his arm.

@kevin1877uk Some places on our bodies hurt worse to get them done. My wrists were really bad as well as directly on my spine. I am very skinny so my bones stick out there is no fat over my spine. It hurt really bad but to the right and left of my spine the rest of my skin didn't hurt that bad. My arm and chest didn't hurt.

@shaggin Ouchhhh I have one on my shoulder and remember the pain since I was thinner back then it felt like the needle was hitting my collar bone, Hopefully he can take it lol

My sister said today that she wished she wasn't pregnant so she could get a tattoo done at the same time. I asked what she wanted to get and she said a star with the name Gavin under it. I laughed out loud and said I can't believe she would get her favorite singers name tattooed on her instead of hers kids names.

We were planning to go to the tattoo shop today and talk to the artist but it will have to wait. He had to go check on property a few hours away that he owns so he will be staying there today and tomorrow. Wednesday he will be back but there is a guy coming to fix the chimney. I am not sure what day we will go now as I do not know when he has appointments. I know that I am free the entire week. We are out of many foods here so I may go shopping tomorrow but that won't effect him.

I don't know what to say about. My family had never made a tattoo but uncle has made one of the face of my grandfather in his chest two months ago, and it's so beautiful. This tattoo means too much for my uncle cause my grandfather has been the best husband, father and grandfather of the world for all our family.

Aww that is so nice that your uncle had a tattoo of your grandfathers face put on his chest. I have seen some of those kinds of tattoos. You need a really good tattoo artist for something as finely detailed as that. I have picked out a really good place for him to get it done if he is willing to pay the cost and we can find a date that an artist can do it that we are both free.
