If you are on a very tight budget like me thin yes it may be cheaper to eat at home. Possibly healthier, possibly not.
Lots of fast food places have $1 menus now. Probably NOT healthy but sustaining. There are many cheap restaurants where you can find a meal for less than $10. but i like to eat at home you know what you get win you do

When you eat at home you are also able to manage meals at the time that your body needs to eat.

To save money and maintain a healthy lifestyle, I'd rather eat at home than dine out. In addition to that, you'll never know how the food was prepared and what exactly you are eating. Lastly, eating at home provides an opportunity for family bonding.

yes, it is a waste of money to dine out. I do like to eat out though. Because the food is so so tasty. LOL But, there's the problem with the nutritions that is in the food. We watched a video at class last week about mcdonald's. they said that McDonald's was the leading fast food industry where most people go to eat. And that my friend, is awful IMO. There was a guy on the video who had a challenge to eat at McDonald's every day for 30 days. They weighed him before he started the challenge. He weighed about 193 lbs. He than started eating at McDonald's for the challenge. By the end of the challenge, he weighed over 200 some lbs. WOW! I thought that is crazy! And he would only eat the meals that McDonald's served. This goes to show that McDonald's does not have healthy food. Even though it's very tasty.
