I can't lose weight.....

I'm desperate and I don't know what to do because it seems that no matter how much I struggle I can't lose any weight. I didn't get to the point in which I wouldn't eat anything all day long. I've been trying to give up on eating sweets and fast food but so far I don't see any results and I'm starting to lose my patience

The secret is to cut out sugar entirely and drink lots of water, lemon water if you can to help burn belly fat

Losing weight is indeed difficult , Though i really noticed that whenever i skip a full meal for supper and just an apple or any fruit at night , for almost 2 weeks , my clothes loosened .

I can't do that. I couldn't live with an apple instead of one full meal

@SIMPLYD I try to eat smaller portions and eat just a candy or something small when I'm desperate about having something sweet

@swissheart I guess , you just have to exercise everyday then and cut your servings of foods being eaten .

Pat yourself on your back for giving up sugar and fast food...that is majorly difficult! Just keep doing what you are doing and maybe add some exercise.

Dieting is not the approach but physical activity is towards losing weight. You should walk as much as you can and see the results.

in order to lose weight, in my opinion at least, the two of those must be combined. I mean you can walk as much as you feel like...if all you eat is junk food than you can be sure you won't lose any weight

If you are fond of sweets, try eating them in the morning. Since the body is deprived of food through out the night, it is low on sugar. So if you satisfy your craving of having sweets in the morning, that sweet will get used up quickly without getting converting to fat and getting accumulated somewhere in the body. Treat yourself to fast food only once a week. And try walking for atleast 30 min daily. Hope that helps.

I will definitely take that into consideration. I've been trying to eat smaller portions of sweets. I used to eat one chocolate in one day

Personally, I find that the majority of my fat is around my stomach so I do lot of core (planks, elbow holds and v-sits are better than crunches or sit-ups, which don't do much). You could try lifting weights or doing some plio (squats, pushups, things using your own body weight).

Also, one key is that your goal should be to lose fat, not weight, and they don't necessarily go hand in hand. If you're trading fat for muscle you'll actually gain weight, but that's usually considered healthy. You can also focus on eating healthier first and then start worrying about your weight after you've gotten better at eating the right foods.

I know what you mean there, as I am in the same dileema. I wil lose some, and then gain some back. It is a sturggle to try to lose weght, and sometimes, I feel like givng up myself. I don't try to diet, as that won't work anyway. It is hard to cut out things that aren't good for me, and I struggle with that too.

I think it's quite hard to reduce the intake of sweet products. I want to do that and lose the weight as soon as possible.

Losing weight and not putting it back on is a long process. You also should add more walking.

Sounds like you've got an underactive thyroid - based on what you've said on other posts.

Chocolate and any kind of sugar item will kill your goal. If you 'must' have fast food, do you have a Subway in Romania? Otherwise, a tuna fish sandwich, bowl of soup and a handful of potato chips ONCE A DAY with NO sweets of any kind and you will lose 20 pounds in 2 months. The whole idea of losing weight is not just physical but mental. If you can't control the weight by using mental control, you won't lose anything @swissheart .

NEVER you left eating. You have to plan a diet according on your goals, body and physical capacity. It's not neccesary that you're always measuring the calories that you take, but you should to calculate on some Internet's website how many calories you must eat and macronutrients (proteins, carbs and fats). You should leave eating fast food, and pastries, all kind of food with sugar, saturated fats, eat vegetables, grilled meat or baked, NO more fried... You can find on Internet advices for eating better and for calculate what you must to eat. Also is important do regular exercise according your goals and physycal capacity. I hope you manage do it.
