Free Rice

Months ago I used to visit the site "Free Rice" quite often. And then, I stopped and I don't exactly know why. And this morning I read someone mentioning the site again and decided to pay them another visit. After playing with the vocabulary questions for a while, I did remember why I stopped going to this place. The reason was that I was spending way too much time answering questions after questions. Just realized that it is very easy to get addicted again to this game.
For every correct answer you choose, 10 grains of rice are raised to help end world hunger through the World Food Programme.

I have played this game when it appeared on MTurk. You sort of keep going on and on until you realize there is no end. I hope they really do send that rice.

It's fun to do the vocabulary. I got tired of doing it in English, then did it in French and got tired of that too. Then I did it in Spanish.

@marlina And they should probably consider giving it at least in grams rather than in terms of grains

I have inherited my grandson's DS when he went to Xbox. There are a series of games on it that I have been playing every night now. It is addictive for me.

I've never heard of this site. Just read the blurb on the link and can imagine someone sitting there counting out 10 grains of rice every time you get a correct answer. :)

Yes it can be addicted. Few years ago in English class we used to use this page and our class competed to see who was getting more grams of rice in less time.

At 10 grains of rice per question, you would have to answer a lot to send enough to feed one person.
