Procrastinating again

We do our shopping once a week, other than the occasional item that was forgotten. I don't mind doing the shopping weekly, but what I hate is trying to figure out what we are going to eat for the week so I can write the grocery list. What usually happens is that I will mean to write the list Thursday night when hubby can help me, but we'll put it off. Then Friday comes and if I want to do the shopping when I pick hubby up (he works at the store we shop at) I end up having to write the list by myself. Some days I can manage. Other days I put it off and then have to rush or I can't do the shopping Friday and one, or both, of us have to use part of our Saturday to do the shopping.
I again didn't get the list written last night and didn't get a chance to write it this morning. Usually I have time at work but I didn't today. So when I got home, what do you think I did? I procrastinated. I came on the computer. Then I came on mylot and I've been commenting for a while. Is the list done? Nope. It's sitting next to me waiting to be written. I know I need to write it. I don't want to shop tomorrow. It needs writing. I'm going to have to write it after this. I need to stop procrastinating as I need to leave in less than an hour if I'm going to do any of the shopping before hubby is done with work.
It's time for me to stop procrastinating and to get that list written. Do you procrastinate when you don't want to do something?

I pull out the sale flyers and that helps me decide what we are eating. Unfortunately I am used to the sales lasting from Sunday - Saturday. They have changed that around here, just to keep me on my toes, and they are something like Wednesday - Tuesday. I really dislike the change it messes me up and I have showed up at a store expecting to find something on sale, only to find it is no longer on sale.

I have a master in procrastination. But hubby goes to the store every day (remember we are retired), and he looks for the deals. Yesterday it was BBQ ribs and who know what will be on sale today....I'm grateful I don't have to cook or shop unless I want too.

Sometimes, it depend on the task. But if we stopped to really think about it, we could have the job done in the time we are convincing ourselves to put it off.
