Why am I so tired?

The past few weeks I have been extremely tired and I'm constantly wanting to sleep. I'm also kind of dizzy/my head feels foggy constantly. I'm not sure why this is happening since I take daily vitamins and eat fruits and vegetables every day, so I'm getting nutrients. I'm only 18 and I play sports, but I've always played sports so it's not from that. I don't want to go to the doctor because I don't have much money. Has anyone ever heard of anything this?

Is it possible you are depressed? Sometimes physical symptoms like yours can be linked to depression. I have had a depression problem. However, you sound like you do a great job taking care of yourself.
Do you happen to bruise easily? Also, you might just want to take one multivitamin unless your doctor told you otherwise. If you're eating fruits and veggies regularly, you won't need several vitamins. More vitamins that necessary can backfire on a person.
You also might be anemic, and I had that problem until I was around twenty. You could fix your lack of iron with just adding eggs or spinach or raisins or oatmeal or figs or tuna or even a handful of almonds to your diet each day. The iron and protein should give you energy.
I assume you drink a lot of water already since you're very active.
If nothing I suggested sounds right to you then you might end up at a doctor's office. I just don't want you to be sick and suffer because none if us told you anything that works. After all, I'm not a doctor. I do wish you better health!

I was this way as well the past week but mine was because it was "my time of the month". I have always been borderline anemic and during certain times I can tell when my levels drop as I will be so exhausted and my heart will beat so hard just doing simple things. I will be weak. I have been drinking two mugs off coffee a day instead of one to keep me going through the day.

I do. I usually get 9 hours of sleep, which is why this has really bothered me- most other kids my age are getting 2 fewer hours of sleep but aren't very tired while I am... :/
But thank you for asking!

Hi there...Everyone has already suggest less iron in your blood and diet..so please do not ignore it.. I also have something else to suggest..I do not know whether you know this or not but just like walking or running or any other activity, thinking is also an activity..Thinking is one of the most exhausting activity..the sole reason behind it is that it does not stop even when you sleep..it comes as dreams..
So, do observe yourself. Are you stressed or thinking about something a lot nowadays?? Do you have a habit of day dreaming?? Do pay a little attention to these things too..
Hope they help you..Do keep us updated..
Take care..

It sounds like something lacking in your diet or low iron. Had severe low iron for years and yes its exactly how you described it.
