A few months ago I was talking about opening a savings account with another bank for solely an emergency fund sort of deal, and after opening it and depositing my first little bit on Jan 19th I checked it today - putting all my online earnings onto it plus 4% of my paychecks - and its already over $520! I realize thats not a life changing number but Im excited to have some money in savings in such a short period of time. It seems to be motivating me to save more in general. When I started a discussion a while back - so many people on here offered such great savings advice. So thank you! How about you? How is your savings coming along?

I have 1300 in my savings account now. I put 300 in there each pay check and it helps. I don't touch it unless it's an emergency and can't wait until my next pay check

That's actually really great! It must be really nice to have seen your earnings grow so much. My husband and I do have a little bit of savings, which did grow a little, as it's a savings account with some interest. It may not be a lot, but it's something.

Its hard to start but adds up over time. I still have some debt so does that defeat the purpose of saving? Ha ha oh well. Thanks for your response!

Woow that is awesome! Thats $520 in under 2 months! That'll end up being a lot in a year from now! I am lucky and got a nice tax return so I am putting it towards my trip savings and now only have $300 to go which is only $2.70 a day! I am very excited about it!

Well done you, it`s the little bits here and there that make all the difference, imagine how much it will be in a year, enough to pay for a vacation or treat yourself to some lovely present or keep saving it for rainy days.
