My Daughter Got Bullied

Last Friday, my daughter went home from school crying. I was so worried about her as she is always the kind of kid who goes home with a huge smile on her face and tell me the happenings from school. She told me about the kids, not from school tripped on her and took her costume she used for one of their school plays. I was so mad I have to get out and look for the boys who did that to her and talked to their parents. They were punished and the parents were sorry about the incident. They were messing with the wrong girl!

That was a prompt action on your part! I just hope kids grow to be confident and courageous so that they'll know how to confront bullies. I hope your daughter is doing fine now.

She's ok now. I really have to explain to her that I can't always be the one to confront those bullies. She needs to learn how to stand alone for herself although as a mother, I am still afraid she might not be able to do so

@cherriefic Well, she has no choice but to learn how to stand on her own, otherwise people won't stop bullying her. Try to research on activities that would boost your daughter's confidence.

@rina110383 Thanks! I am working on it and hopefully have her in a Taekwondo class this summer. I had that when I was younger that helped me a lot.

I'm sorry your daughter was bullied. I don't understand how some kids can be so mean. My husband was bullied all through school. It was really hard on him. I hope your daughter will be alright.

Thanks! My daughter got over it easily. I just have to make sure that she can deal with it by herself in the future.

How old is your daughter? How sad to have her come home and have had to go through that. When our children are upset it upsets us so much. It breaks my heart seeing them sad. I am so glad that you confronted the parents and the boys were punished. I hope they learn to never do something like that again. There are bullies everywhere unfortunately. We just have to teach our children to be kind and hope they do not bully others. If I find out my children bully others you can bet for sure I will be punishing them.

That's unfortunate. Bullting is awful. Kids do it. Adults do it. I'm glad the parents handled things. I hope that doesn't happen again.

Man, I would have hunted them down too. And not only that, but in the future it could be much worse if they got away with it. I am sorry this happened to your daughter friend ...

There are just a lot of kids who are not guided by their parents accordingly. It's a sad truth but I guess every kid needs to learn how to defend themselves from these mean ones.

Its ridiculous. Thank god you acted promptly. Children are children. Their parents should have taught them the good lesson. Anyway, you must be the best person for your daughter. So, teach her some actions which would be suitable for those situation.

I am sorry to hear that. I just don't understand why the young kids nowadays have the idea of "bullying" others. Glad that you have stood up for your girl!

You must teach them how to fight or they will carry that fear for the rest of their lives. I know I did, instead of my mom teaching me to stand on my own, he went straight there and shouted on my classmates. This could not go on and she must have courage to face them again in case it repeats. Im glad those kids were punished, i hope what they did to your child happens to them in the future so they could understand.

It is good you were able to find those kids and talked to their parents. Nowadays, we really have kids who bully other just because they like. And usually most of them have problems at home. If I were in your place, I would do the same thing.
