Impact of Bahubali

While I was watching the movie for second time today on TV, first being in theatre last year, I felt this is the most impactful movie from India so far. There have been classics, there have been some mind blowing movies , but Bahubali unapologetically is loud about what it is and what it is intended to be. The background score of the movie only enhances the grandeur and vision of the movie. Again its not a mere visual feast, but it is so powerful in its execution of screenplay and performance that one cant help but get overwhelmed by its energy. Every character stands out, especially the mother Shivagami is splendid and knows exactly how she wants her two boys to grow up. It wouldn't be wrong to say that Bahubali: The beginning scaled those heights which many movies aspired to but never reached there. Be it war scenes, be it Bhallaldev idol surrection scene or the overall sets, the genius vision of S S Rajamouli was everywhere. In the history of Indian cinema, there had never been the curiosity and eager waiting for any sequel like Bahubali: The Conclusion.

I don't like movies that offer nothing. I also like realistic stuff, less noise, and no remakes in different language. Movies are waste of resources especially if money spent on them is lost after some time. How many old movies do you watch now? I agree that there is some talent there in Rajmouli.

I like realistic movies too but ultimately movie should also be entertaining. Bahubali was purely a fictional movie and it was true to its genre. I agree that most of the movies are waste of money and I don't know why they are made as they seem a flop on script level only.

@avi256 I don't know, i don't think they've heard of the movie yet. Who knows, we're too obsessed with America and other previous countries who occupied us. Talk about being colonial minded. Hahaha~ You've got the Brits we've got the US. Booo~ Anyway yeah I'll watch it online maybe.

That Karan Johar (anti India) is interfering too much, better if Rajmauli boot him out

Kjo in his lifetime cannot direct a movie like bahubali. He can't interfere here coz it's basically a Telugu movie. He has distribution rights for Hindi version and he look for some editing but rajmouli is not a kind of person who will compromise a bit.

@avi256 Kjo is anti-India as well, he and his friend Pig Khan are trying to take over South India only to spread hate about India between Indians

@Yokakumar Yes Rajamouli is master in character development. Whether it Shivagami or Bhallaldeva or Kalka or the very famous kattappa, all characters were well sketeched out.
