Andrew Zimmern always say..."if it looks.good, eat it." But not really what i saw yesterday. Lol. When we went out to have a lunch in a friend's house, i saw something. Exotic food. Me, having an adventurous palate asked the host what is on the plate. Maybe they notice how eager i am to know its name, they didn't told me what is it. Instead, they put some on my plate and handed me a spoon. It doesn't look nice. *not going to tell you what is looks like, lol*. I smell it before i put few pieces on my mouth. Smells fishy and not a fan. And how it tastes? It wasn't bad! It tastes like those insects i had. Little bit sweet and nutty. Yeah. It doesn't look and smell.good but eat it. So much of my.adventurous.palate. So...what was it? Locally called "abuos" or ants egg ( those.big.red ants) I can eat those.and.few.more but not snake. Nah ah! Lol. Have you eaten anything.exotic or bizarre? P.S. No photo since i am shy to take a photo with many people watching. Haha

I have tried frogs as well, a kind of frog, but I don't know the exact name of it. It's quite common for Chinese, and it's usually cooked with herbs. I am not fond of it, as it doesn't taste any better than chicken, but my mom said it's good for health. I have no idea about it.

The most exotic thing I ate was crocodile nuggets, it's chewy but it tastes like chicken, so I see no reason to eat crocodile.

@LadyDuck I think I have tried snake, it seems quite common for Chinese. But I won't purposely go for it. Chicken and pork are more than enough for me.

I thought you meant the food you show in the picture. I think they look nice, one of the dishes looks like vegetable curry, am I right? No, I will not want to try the ants egg. Whether it looks or tastes good, I just don't feel like trying. I am not a brave person.
