Are promises meant to be broken? / myLot

I am such a person who never promise anything but when I do I always try to keep it especially in relationships. I don't know how people always break them as if they do it just to break them. Do you often break them?

A definite YES. I do believe Promises are made to be broken for sure. Here is the logic - you make a promise under certain situations today. But situations change... this is inevitable. So that does make the promise become un-keepable (I coin a new word here

) when the situations change. And if you still try to keep that promise alive, you are wasting your life and time for no good. And please dont tell me you have never ever broken any promise. If you do, I will say, you are lying.

Now does that change something somewhere?

With the change in situation it's tough to keep promise I know but real people always try to keep it till the end. I am like you I break them when stuck somewhere.

People take promise making way to lightly. It's often more of a meaningless fraze - this fact saddens me. Like you, I will only make a promise if I know I can keep it.

Oh yes its easy to promise but to keep them is always tough so we should be watchful while doing them.

@sjvg1976 things can change, and sometimes we may be left with no choise but to breack a promise - however this should be avoided. Broke. Promises damage trust - and with no trust there is no relationship.

Yes, sometimes I have to break my promise if it is needed but usually, I'm not going to break it.

i believe in promise... yes even i break promise... but still i keep my promise... yes situation changes.. people changes... but u hav to choose wat you want to do.. because it is your life...

You have a giod habbit keep it up my friend . very few people are there who never breack promise you are one of them.
