Vertical Aircraft

The United States military has revealed plans to build an aircraft capable of taking off vertically. "Isn't that called a helicopter?" you might ask. (That was my initial query.) But this craft will be unmanned, faster than a helicopter and fuel efficient, thanks to a hybrid engine.

This aircraft will obviously use a lot less space for takeoff, what are some other advantages?
The Pentagon has awarded a contract to Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation to build a vertical takeoff concept aircraft called LightningStrike.

Its kinda convenient in the part of the Airline industry to avoid traffics and congestions.

That's true, it does take a lot of power. I wonder how long it took to engineer this.

There might have been. I'll have to research that. Maybe this one will be faster.
