Good morning.I had a question that someone asked me.
Do you get lonely at times. If you do.Do you struggle with it?
Not sure what type of question that it is or how you define lonely.
Is there a difference in lonely an depression.
For me it will be depression and not lonely. Then again have to think about it.
No,I think not.
Do you struggle with being lonely.

There are times when I get lonely but I"m not depressed. Usually it's just a longing for some human conversation.

I do not struggle with being lonely as I am my best friend. Sometimes I really enjoy being alone as I entertain myself as there is so much to do. Sometimes I like the peace and quiet and the times that I want to talk to someone I will call them or just go out shopping and talk to people in the stores.
I dealt with customers since the time I started working at 16 years old until I retired at 68 years old. That is a long time talking to people.

@amadeo I know. I do feel bad for some people but we have to take control of our lives. If a person knows they have issues, they should talk to their friends or teachers or any other person that can help. The best thing would be is to find someone as soon as they feel a problem. Sometimes all they need is a friend or activity.

I think one can feel lonely in a crowd. I am not lonely for people as such, because I am surrounded by family and so called friends. However, I am lonely for personal time and space. I am always doing for others, and it seems I need some downtime. I do not always feel like doing for others, and would like to curl up with good book and read all day. Sometimes, I would like to curl up with a blanket and sleep the day away. Perhaps, I am just tired after getting about two hours of sleep at night and never no time for me to just sit and do nothing.

@slund2041 Maybe if all you need is time for yourself you might consider telling your friends or family not to call you at a certain time or just turn the phone off and let the machine answer for you and you can return the call when you want to.
If I do not want to talk I do not answer the phone but will call them back when I want. If they say it is an emergency, then I will answer.

@ramapo17 Yes, I do need to do that. It is hard for me to get everything done. Here it is 9:00 at night, and I just finished vacuuming the floor. I have been busy doing this or that all day long.

Sometimes, actually half of my entire life I struggle being lonely but as years passes by it becomes normal for me until one friend just came to me and made me realize how joyful the world is, but like other things it fades. I become lonely again :3

Loneliness has many different causes and affects people differently. Often people feel lonely because of their personal circumstances. But sometimes loneliness is a deeper, more constant feeling that comes from within.

@amadeo We can deal loneliness in healthiest way.Reach out because loneliness is painful and can confuse you into thinking that you are a loser, an outcast. Sometimes, talking to a therapist can help you understand what is going on and decide on the best course of action.

I will say I suffer from melancholy. Not really loneliness..though years ago it was lonely. Not anymore I am glad of the peace.
Melancholy is a form of depression for me.

Since I made my decision to live alone 40 years ago I have never felt lonely or alone. I very rarely get depressed and when I do I know how to work my way out of it!

I live alone and on my own, far from my parents. I would best describe myself as a loner, a happy one.
Do I struggle being lonely? A Big No.=)

Luckily i don't . That's because i always busy myself with many things like when i am free i go here , or play games on my phone or go to Facebook and interact too .
Actually , i lack the time to do them all , because i have my full time job to attend to on weekdays from 8 to 6:30 in the evening . No time to get lonely . And i am thanking God for that .
