Did you select your wedding gown with anyone?

In western countries, it seems that it is bad luck if the bride groom sees the wedding gown before wedding. So I assume that the bride will select the wedding gown with her best friends or mom.
We don't have this belief here. Actually my husband and I prepared everything for our wedding together. We went to select my wedding gown, his suit, restaurant etc. together.

I didn't know about that! This is the first time I heard about this. Same as you, my husband and I prepared everything for our wedding together too. Though some said the groom and bride shouldn't meet up the day before or 3 days before (I don't remember all these exactly), we still met up with each other.

It is bad luck for the groom to see the bride on the day of the wedding before the ceremony. Usually the groom doesn't see the dress beforehand either. My dress was made by a dressmaker and my Mum and I chose it as she was paying for it.
