Oh my goodness, my husband and I took our children to the park since it's been a while that they have done anything fun. We were there playing basketball with the kids and these other kids were there too-with no parents. They were cursing like I have never heard before in my life! The oldest girl looked about 12 and the 2 boys looked to be around 7.
There was another lady at the park with a toddler, she looked at them and said how would you like me to go tell your mother your speaking like that?!? They laughed at her and started walking away! I was thinking to myself what disrespectful brats!
It's crazy how some children behave when their parents are not around. Disgusting in my opinion.

Kids these days no longer have any respect whatsoever towards adults. When I was a kid, if someone told me they were going to tell my parents on me, I was in fear of my life, because I knew that when I got home my dad would be waiting at the door to give me a good old-fashioned belt whoopin'. Nowadays, parents either won't discipline their kids, or can't, for fear of being reported to the authorities for child abuse. So what we have going on now is an entire generation of selfish brats growing up with no respect for authority. God help our country!

@moffitjc I agree, most of them don't. If someone told my kids that they would have apologized and been scared too! Then again, we are raising them to respect their elders and not speak like that too. I was afraid of my parents as well-I would have peed myself if that happened to me when I was a child. I believe in the Bible and spare the rod, spoil the child.

@sugartoes I had no issues disciplining my kids, and as a result they have turned out to be model citizens so far (well, they are teenagers, so I shouldn't quite call them model citizens just yet! lol)

A sad state of affairs. These kids hear all kinds of bad language everywhere they go. Some parents know and some don't. My 7 year old would not be at a park with out a parent. Right there that tells you something.

@fishtiger58 I am the same way-mine don't go anywhere without me unless it is with family. Other than that they are by my side. I think being overprotective is a whole lot better than not caring at all so my kids will have to deal with it. Lol. I don't really think age has anything to do with it, I had my oldest at 20 and I am still very protective of all my kids. I don't allow mine to even have a sleepover somewhere else unless I know the parents VERY well and even then I am terrified and in contact with the parents the entire time.

@fishtiger58 Mine would not be at the park without an adult either. That spoke volumes to me!

@LovingMyBabies I don't think I let my sons out of my sight until they were teenagers and even then I was a nervous wreck. I was a very overprotective mom. Could be because I was older when I had them. I was 32 before my first son was born.

Mine too. Many parents don't seem to care or know what the words ;role model' really mean. They had to hear this some where. Kids are growing up faster. A twelve year old is like a fifteen or sixteen year old in my day. Disgusting. I used to kind of worry about my grandson and how he acted when his mom and I were not around until one day he and I were out at some store and my grandson went over to say hello to a lady he had seen in the store. The lady came over and stated to me that she wanted to relay this to me. How very polite and nice my grandson was. I felt SOOOO good. So the opposite does occur too. Had to say that. Very proud of him.

@LovingMyBabies .....That is always so good to hear. Yes, I am pretty proud of my grandson. My granddaughter too. Grandson has become a teen and can be out of control at times. We really love to see the good come out in him though.

@celticeagle Yes the opposite definitely happens too. Everyone at church always compliments me on how we are raising our children-they always say our kids are so well behaved. That makes me feel so good as well.
Your grandson must be a sweetheart. =) He is being raised right!

@LovingMyBabies Evidently, those kids talk that way at home and nothing is done about it, which is sad too. All parents have a responsibility to teach them properly, and apparently, the parents don't care, which is a shame too.

@rosekiss It is a shame. I wanted to smack those kids and hug them at the same time because clearly their parents don't care about them much.

@bestmom Well their parents clearly don't care that much or they wouldn't have been at the park alone in the first place.

That's really young for kids to use language like that. I'd probably be thinking the same as you, that they were nothing more than disrespectful brats. It's hard to believe that some kids act like this, and are probably raised like this.

@dodo19 Yeah it is so sad! Their parents obviously don't care about their kids, to teach them right from wrong and to watch them while at the park.

Chances are their parents may not care at all. I bet they didn't get like that overnight.

they won't speak like that if they didn't hear it first. Maybe they will realize it some time soon when they grow up...or not.

@Letranknight2015 That is true, but the music they were listening to didn't help their language either. It was terrible.

@JudyEv It is possible and really sad. That lady that said something was so angry I don't think she cared at that point. Lol.
