A Happy Day

We have had a few really gorgeous days. The crocus are happy and blooming. It's a sight to behold. I used to only have purple crocus but a couple of years ago we planted some yellow and white crocus as well. The yellow might bloom today but the purple crocus are big and beautiful. I haven't seen the white ones yet but am hoping they pop us soon. This is a shot of my crocus in my front flower garden. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

@TiarasOceanView Oh yea while I love flowers I wouldn't have done all this gardening. It's all my hubby his dad was the same always had flowers growing. That must be where he gets it from.

@silvermist Haven't seen them yet, I am quite disappointed. So if I don't get any white ones I will buy bulbs for the white ones this fall and try again next spring.

I have lived in Illinois my whole life, I don't think we have ever had a drought. I do remember less rain than usual in 1988 but still we had rain.

@fishtiger58 I do not know if you can choose the color. Here we buy bags of bulbs in mixed colors, you can never know what you will get.

Yup for me too. They are always the very first flower to appear. I need to go look at the yellow ones today. I may buy some more crocus bulbs this fall as well.

@LadyDuck I have seen the crocus bulbs in just purple and just yellow in the bag. They also have mixed and I think it's all the colors including white. I still haven't seen any white ones, so I'm not sure if we planted white or they just didn't come up. I will try to buy white ones this fall.

Those look similar to flowers that pop up around here. The first thing that pops up in my yard each spring is the tulips. Then the daffodils. Maybe its the other way around. I love when the tulips start popping up though as they are so pretty. We haven't had any flowers bloom here yet I can see them started to sprout of the ground now. I love warm weather. It was 50 here today but rainy.
