A Day at Home

I am home today on this rainy morning. I feel as if I've been out a lot lately. Yesterday I babysat for a friend and the day before that I worked with my son.
I have a lot of home stuff to get done today, but right now I'm sitting with my cup of tea, enjoying visiting with many of you.
I can't believe how much it feels like spring today. I can hear the call of the varied thrush coming from the woods. In the evening, the owls have been calling to each other. Soon they will all be building their nests.
What signs of spring do you see or hear today?

We have had some rain the last couple of days, and with warmer temperatures, the snow is disappearing. I can see a lot of bare ground when I look out my window. We are promised sunshine and very warm temperatures for the next three days, so that should make a big difference.

@Sheilamarie78 We have had a lot of small storms but only a couple of big ones, not nearly like last year. And it has not been nearly as cold. Our winter has been a series of freezes and thaws. Of course that has made a mess of the streets, with potholes everywhere.

It is sunny that is about it friend.
It is still rather chilly however in these parts.
I did notice that the sun came shining in to wake me earlier.

The first sign of spring here is that my windows are open and I'm getting some fresh air into this stuffy house. I hope this wonderful weather lasts

Do you still babysit for your friends who sing? We had a Canadian trio - The Once - here for a concert last weekend. They were very well received and were such nice people. We have another coming in about 5 weeks for an indoor concert - Gordie Tentrees. Have you heard of any of these people? Apparently they have been given help with getting to other countries to spread the good word about Canadian music.

I guess it's nice to feel the Spring. As I am staying in tropical country, where everyday is almost the same here. I always read from books how beautiful Spring is, I always imagine it's a wonderful and lovely season, with the birds chirping and seeds sprouting.
I woke up very early in the morning or in the middle of the night to do some work, but I have been enjoying myself mylotting so much and neglected my work.

The snow is almost gone. It got up to 67 a couple days ago, so the seasons are at war. Temps plummeted again. The birds are definitely in full volume.
