Just Switched My Search Engine to Swagbucks

A few mylotters have lately been talking about swagbucks. I went to the site recently and discovered that I have points in my bank. I don't know anything about daily goals or how much is needed to redeem in some way, but for starters I decided I could switch my default search engine to swagbucks and see whether that helps me much as I doubt I'll do much else on the site to make my points. If anyone cares to share about the daily goals, or how much is needed to redeem or anything else, I'm all ears. I know I could search out this info myself, but then I couldn't be here for awhile too, and many of you seem to already know this info. I don't have a smart phone so I can't watch videos while doing other things. At present this is probably all I'll be doing with the site.

You can redeem points for gift cards. They show a list of all the cards they offer and the points you need to get any.

You can also redeem your points for cash paid by Paypal. That's what I do.

@marlina Is there a minimum that must be made before they'll send it to paypal, and also, how to the points compare to dollar amounts?

@marlina What are the rules for doing that? I like collecting gift cards so I always have some last minute gifts for family members.

I have been reading a lot about swagbucks, it's good to earn by searching. I have always wanted to check out the site to see if I am eligible to join, but I still haven't take any action yet. Hope you'll be able to cash out soon.

I already cased out years ago, like five or something as a friend on another site wrote some books and made it available to pay with swagbucks for them, which I did. I just haven't done much with it since then other than playing games for a bit last year. Once I moved into mylot, I forgot all about swagbucks until recently when @marlina and others have been writing and talking about it.

@MarshaMusselman You mean you can earn the swagbucks points by playing games as well? That sounds fun! Hope you'll enjoy spending a little time there and earn some swagbucks as well.

@kaka135 Yes, you can earn by playing certain games, but I found it took too much time. Yesterday I took my first survey. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to agree to try different products in order for the survey to complete. I may try a few more of those from time to time. I'm not so worried about doing as many as are allowed per day though, as my extra time for all that is limited.

I get rewards every so often from searching on there. But I earn mostly from answering surveys available to me. Earning may seem slow at first on there, but it gets better once you are somehow familiar with your way around it.

@ramapo17 Is the daily poll a survey type thing? I don't want to have to spend a lot of time on there which I did before finding mylot, but I mainly played a few games that were fun.

So far I have only done the daily poll. How do you get any other rewards?

@MarshaMusselman No. It is a question that is asked every day and you just hit on yes, no or additional comment and then you have to write the comment. I hardly ever do that one, it is easy and fast just hitting yes or no.

I believe it's 300 points to cash out, though it would be a gift card to Amazon. The lowest for PayPal is 2500 points. I usually gather points for a $50 payout. You will get points from searching. It depends on how much searching you do. I don't have Swagbucks as my search engine.

I don't do a major amount of searching, but I'll search for things to use on here or for things people talk about too. It may be about the only way that I'll continue to earn on there, but we'll see. If I take time to try to figure out what all I could do on swagbucks again, then I won't be able to be here too. So the minimum Amazon Gift card is three dollars? I'd think that most would wait until it adds up some before redeeming for those too?

you can search out and check out the help section if you're able to even access it. I'm not sure if it's available all over the world. But, you can check and see for yourself.

I've been on Swagbucks for a while. The daily goal is nice because it allows you to try to earn consistently. And once you reach the daily goal, you get bonus swagbucks (usually 10% of whatever the goal was). It takes time, but I've gotten up to 2500swagbucks, which is equivalent to 25 REAL bucks. and there are always offers through other sites, like if you get a car insurance quote, etc. If you give it time, it's definitely worth it

Since I've written this discussion I already have 12 of the 30 needed for the daily goal, but I'll be getting ready to work the midnight shift again later and won't have time to get the remaining amount unless I stay there and leave here.

I don't do much with swagbucks except the swag code, which is going up ever so slowly. It all does add up though. i do need to get back to it again thougn, as I have a smartpone, and I watch the videos on my iPhone. It does use up enough battery though, but that is okay, as I keep it chargedd up.

@MarshaMusselman It pops up in my screen periodically, as I have the swag button installed, and you need that to get the code. A box will pop up telling you where to get the code, and you enter it into the swag code box on the swag button.

What exactly is the swag code that can earn you something?

I wish I could use swagbucks. My computer is older and it will hang up if I try to do anything on the site.

I do not know about swagbucks I imagine it is for the USA market rather than European. I will check it out sometime. Good luck I hope it is a lucrative site for you!

Sishy7 in Australia does swagbucks, so it might be available in the UK also. I do't know how lucrative it will be as I'm not around all the time. I won't be doing the movies at present nor the surveys, just mainly the searching and swag codes when I happen upong them which isn't all that often yet.

You might do okay. It depends on whether you only searched with swagbucks or did other things too, but years ago, I was able to buy some books that someone made available to purchase with swagbucks.I won't know how worth it it is currently until I do it for a bit. It's just another way to garner a few more eggs for any extra baskets we might have.
