Yesterday ... it came to me after coming home from a funeral ... what am I ... who am I ... where do I belong? Why? Because I can't ever seem to find my flock ... you know ... like you probably belong to. Birds of a feather ... I don't know which flock a bird like me belongs to. You haven't known me as long as my followers/readers on my blog, social media to know that I'm a good person. I believe in good. I try to be as good as possible ... I am not perfect, won't ever be ... don't worry about it. Through time as we get to know people through their writings ... we can get the gist of ... what they are about. We can usually sense if they are good, bad. We can think of what kind of bird they are ... and what flock they'd belong to. Well, yesterday it came to me ... I don't know where I belong. I'm so different from all the birds around me ... I just don't belong. What flock in this world is ... like me? If you'd like to read my story on my blog ... in more detail, I invite you to. This is the link: I Know What I Believe, Who I Am ... Where do I Belong? http://happycolorsandgrannygee.blogspot.com/2016/03/i-know-what-i-believe-who-i-am-i-just.html

I've been feeling the very same way since my husband passed away. I never see my friends anymore. I guess they don't know how to treat me now. My immediate family has all passed away. I'm the last one. My flock is gone and I definitely have a sense of not belonging anywhere. It's a foreign feeling to me. I guess I thought the feelings I used to have of family and friends would last forever. Not so.

I understand your words ... I have my husband and 2 dogs left in this whole world. That's all I have between me and this big, old world. I'm so, so sorry you have to feel any sad feelings.

Do you have any good friends that you can call or get together with every once in a while.

@jstory07 Hey, I'm fine :) I was just writing yesterday about what came to mind ... I'm not lonely. I just wondered what type of people I was like in this big, old world :)

You are a Wonderful Work of Art! There is no one in the universe exactly like you nor will there ever be! Be who you must! It's a part of the plan! Remember, you are exactly who those in your life need around them just as they are who you need. Simply Interact! Relax, you do belong. You are a Child of God!

I met a man that was in the service with my youngest son. He was abandoned at birth and no one ever adopted him. He did not know where he belonged. He did not even know what race he was. He met a women while in the service and she talked him into doing a dna test and he did. Now he is married and has a baby. If he can belong now to something. So can anyone including you.

It seems many have these issues-especially those who are writers, artists, etc.

Yes, I think you understood what I meant while writing this. I didn't mean I wanted a place to belong ... I was so curious as to what type of people are ... like me. :) Who thinks like me ... feels about things as I do. :)

I relate your thoughts here a lot. Maybe it was because we moved around a lot when I was a kid, or maybe I am just sort of quirky, but I have never really "fit in" to any group either. I have worked in sales and marketing successfully, but am really a rather unsocial person, so sales is an act for me. Maybe that is why I love acting too.
