I described standing in line to get the left over money after our board and room are paid and yet a reader asks :"Standing in line for what?" and why so long.I f that person really had read all my post she would have known the answers and would not ask those questions.By the wa y this gra phic is called Fudgscile. Am I the only o e who does read it all. I read fast and I read it all before I make a response so I can make a sensible response.> I wrote one once about gardening and how you could have fresh fruits ad veggies. I got back this response"Oh I ca hardly wsth for summer so I can go swimming". There was no mention of summer or heat or swimming at all.

I read the entire content of a post. If someone takes the time to write it and I find it to be interesting enough to finish reading it I will then comment. I have found a few posts that didn't make sense and I couldn't comment at all.

@Hatley That is sad. They probably did cut and paste if it appears to read that way.

It is a conversation after all. Maybe what you wrote made her think of what she wrote.

It really is rude to comment without taking the time to read the discussion.

LOL! I read slowly and sometimes read the whole thing again and sometimes read all comments first to understand better before commenting.

Yup, welcome to the post counters (people that post only to drive up their post number). This is why I like the new structure of MyLot vs the one they used to have. There used to be a rating system for each member that partially depended on how many posts a person had. Couple that with another part of the payment structure being based on how much you write in posts and replies, and it became a breeding ground for people who posted only for earning to go up, even going as far as what you state, posting about completely unrelated subjects. But with the new payment structure, it actually weeds these types of people out. Now you are paid for how much people INTERACT with your content, not how much you post. Automatcally that means in order to earn money, you are going to have to post things that are relevant and interesting to see any success in earning. Simply make a habit of not commenting or liking posts that have nothing to do with what you talked about or posts that make it clear the person did not read the entire post. The less interaction they get they less money they earn. Either they will get the message, or leave after long!

@Hatley I vaguely remember Hatley being in discussions yes! And I understand. I'm also glad they got rid of the ratings system for simply likes. People would see your star and start negatively rating your posts simply because you were doing better than they were. I see myself being a lot more active with this system in place!

@Hatley Can I give you a tip? Reading how you post it seems that you are using a phone to do it. Not that its a problem, but I do believe spelling has a lot to do with how you earn here too. You may want to consider reviewing your posts and using the spell check on your phone if that is what you are going to use

Unfortunately some of us have little time and cannot read every post. We each read what we can.

I read discussions all the way too so I don't sound silly. I get weird responses sometimes too that just make no sense and don't relate to my discussion at all.

What, you don't like swimming in all those rows of corn and beans during the summertime? It does get pretty discouraging when people don't take the time to finish a whole post. Seems like something that we're going to deal with forever, though... it used to happen all the time on the "old" site, and it's still common here.
