I really can't tell you much about MCL (short for Microchip League,) other than speculation from a friend and I.
If you recall the music of the late 1980's, you might recognize a dance tune called "American Soviets" by a band called CCCP. MCL's "New York," which is a great dance song in it's own right, lands somewhere between techno and industrial music. It is, however, close enough, style-wise, to "American Soviets" that makes us think that these are the same guys.
Again, it's purely speculation on our part, and we could be very wrong, but it makes sense, at least to us.
If you dig dance music, you might dig "New York." It was in heavy rotation in the Denver dance clubs of the early 90's, and rightly so. It's fun, even though we know next to nothing about the guys that made the damn thing. And believe me, I've looked.

Yeah, I'm all over the place, musically.
By the way, I took the bike out for 11.5 miles this morning.

Is there no end to the bands I don't know? I feel woefully uneducated.
