Using iTunes on Windows PC

I have an iPod but I don't have a Mac. Since I need iTunes to sync my iPod with my PC, I have installed iTunes on my PC. However, I am not happy with how it works. I mess up all the time while I am backing up my iPod and syncing with computer. I have installed couple of third party software for iOS device, which seems to be better than iTunes
