Was your breakfast as healthy as mine today?

I'm sort of a health nut. I exercise regularly, and watch what I eat. This morning, my breakfast reflected my concern with good eating. Including the coffee I'm sipping on the side, three essential food groups are represented: sugar, protein, and caffeine. I came up with the Boston Baked Beans at the Dollar Tree yesterday when my kid client and I went there to get seeds. It was pouring out, so we couldn't do our normal hiking, gardening, or visiting the animals. Now I can't stop eating the dang things. Was your breakfast as healthy as mine today?

I remember Boston Baked Beans but have not eaten it in ages, lol. Today, I had for breakfast, banana bread, apple slices and hot tea. It was somewhat healthy.

That actually sounds pretty good! The tea was caffinated, I assume.

@TheHorse Yes, it was caffinated. I am sort of addicted to caffeine. I need it in the morning.

You had me going until I saw the picture and they look like jelly beans. I guess mine was a little healthier than yours. It was call Junior Mints. They are like York peppermint patties except extremely small. The size of M&M's. I can't believe I ate the whole thing! On the plus side, I did manage to exercise, there was a lot of candy pieces I lifted to my mouth individually.

Now THAT sounds like a real breakfast. Several important food groups covered: chocolate, mint, sugar. No coffee?

@TheHorse HEHEHE There are enough things in life that excite me that I don't drink caffeine in the morning as an up. Besides coffee makes me ill. Chocolate is a major food group. I think you are suppose to eat it four or five times a day.

@TheHorse I wonder how the candy tastes. Does it taste really like beans?

They're actually a pretty tasty candy, especially if they're not stale. Not an ideal breakfast food, though, if I were being serious. It actually was all I had eaten when I wrote the post. I'm having some yogurt now.

@infatuatedbby Nah, it's peanuts coated with something that tastes like hard pancake syrup to me. Pretty addictive.

I have not eaten yet, but it will be my usual: 1/2 sandwich of whole grain whole wheat bread and one triangle of Laughing Cow Swiss Lite Cheese with an apple (or peach, depending upon the day of the week). My tummy is happy when it is bored while being fed healthy food.

Something funny: that Laughing Cow scared me for some reason when I was three or four. Maybe I thought the cow was laughing at me. But to this day, I've never tried the cheese.

@TheHorse Too funny. The Swiss Lite Cheese is creamy and mild with lots of flavor. It is healthy and easy to spread. Digests easily too.

I heard on the news the other day that some component in coffee actually protects the liver from toxins. I don't remember ever having tried Boston Baked Beans and I am not a health nut.
