It Never Rains in Southern California

So, by the title alone you can make out that it's raining in Southern California. What the? It doesn't rain here, right?
As soon as droplets of rain pelted my office window, I thought of the long commute home. And than I realized, I ride the train. No need to concern myself with traffic.
Optimistic and giddy about the fact I don't deal with traffic, I hopped in my car for the 5 minute car ride to the station. Parked my car, jumped out and played hop skotch with the rain puddles as I made my way to the covered seats for the 3:30 p.m. train to arrive.
"5 minutes, yes! The train will be here and I'll be headed home." I kept saying in my head.
Well, if you've ever ridden the train before, you understand this glaring problem with mass transportation, they're as reliable as a governmental agency.
5 minutes turned into 10 minutes, 20 minutes. 30 minutes.
You get the point.
60 minutes later, still waiting. "Well, this isn't fun," I mumbled. Oh well. Better than being stuck in the black Friday traffic going home.
Thought I'd share with you good people that it's raining in Southern California. It hardly rains here.
Good day ladies and gentleman.

@tampa_girl7, is traffic bad? The rain looked like hurricane force winds roll through here.

Glad to hear that you are getting some of the hoped-for rain down that way. You write very well.

I went out to California in 2013 and my brother was saying how it never rains there. Yet that day I arrived it started to rain. I guess rain follows me around. But I haven't been near California since August.

It rained last weekend. The rain was brief and seems to be over now.
