Prog-Rock Fare for the Common Man

Upon learning of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer keyboardist Keith Emerson's death today, I totally went on a prog-rock binge.
I went, of course, with ELP's "Karn Evil 9," "Fanfare for the Common Man," and "Lucky Man."
I then moved on. A little mid-period Rush, and a little Yes. A little Marillion here, a little Spock's Beard there. Some King Crimson, even Rail's "Sirens."
If I accomplished anything, my girlfriend now gets what I mean when I reference prog.
R.I.P., Keith.

I was astonished to read that Greg Lake wrote "Lucky Man" when he was 12 years old. Wowza.
This year has simply been brutal on music -- and that's not counting other entertainment fields!

I think it's not going to stop. The guys I used to listen to are all getting old.

@teamfreak16 -- I understand that, and most of the people who've passed away thus far this year have been late 60s/early 70s (and I just wrote about Gogi Grant, who was 91). It's just that it seems they're all dying at once!

@FourWalls - and yet Ozzy, Iggy, and Keith Richards live on.

@teamfreak16 Yes indeed! I think I had a copy of nearly everything they did, including some of the obscure stuff. I know that Emerson wrote and performed a classical style concerto.

@teamfreak16 A bit spooky too, since we mentioned ELP the other day!
