I Be Like A Stone

No matter what I do, I feel I am all alone. I see many faces, Full of smiles and laughters. I can hear the tweets of the birds, But they seem nothing to me. I see the towering mountains kissing the skies. The clouds peep and call my name. Through the howls of the wind, I was stirred. I stumbled upon where I stand. I see a big stone near me. It doesn't move. I sat upon its flat and shiny shape. I feel the comfort. It rocks my senses, Because I am not a stone. But why this lifeless stone, Though years had passed, It continued to shine and withstand The many obstacles The many rugged floods And cruel storms It remains strong and proud Of being alone I must be like this stone Full of hope and insensitive To the cruelties of life. I shouldn’t feel all alone.
