My question to Trump is: Why do you want to give up your freedom?

I just do not understand why Trump wants to give up his freedom and the freedom of his family. As a billionaire, he controls his time. He can fly off to play a round of golf anytime he wants. He has the money, and he has full control of his time too. If he becomes the President, he has no control over his time. A President cannot just take time off to play golf as and when he likes. He cannot ignore his security detail, and he has to follow the protocols when he meets with foreign government representatives. The worst is that secret service agents will follow him for the rest of his life. All ex-Presidents have their secret service agents till the day they died. Why should a powerful billionaire want to give up his freedom for all these? He can influence politics in his capacity as a private citizen.

Because if people like Hilary and Bernie get to office, they want to take as much of his wealth away from him and others like him as they can. Other than that maybe because he has noticed that America has lost a lot of its greatness and he doesn't trust others to build it back up. I certainly have no hopes in government to do any of that anymore. I think people will have to take command and turn things around, but most people are idiots. Government had a purpose in terms of structure once, but now it's too big and reaches into every aspect of everyday life. It doesn't belong there.

He knows Hilary for a long time, and I think there were numerous discussions or arguments. One thing for sure, Clinton and Hilary were guests at his third wedding. I think of all the candidates, he is the one who does not fear to lose. He has everything that he wants. He sure is the one who can see the issues clearly, and able to speak to the frustration and anger of the people.

@scheng1 At least it shows that he can work with the other parties. Even though she knows him that doesn't mean she won't create laws that rob him. One benefit of trump getting it is that Al Sharpton said he'd leave the country. I say let him leave... after making him pay the millions in back taxes he owes.

It's hard to picture him giving up all his freedom but I guess he feels being president is worth it?

That is why I do not understand the mentality. Those who are politicians have already lost their freedom in a sense, because they have to keep their power, and let others scheduled their day. But for a billionaire who is used to ordering people around, and managing his own time, it is really silly to lose the freedom.

It is all about "the power trip".
