Could you blame me for getting off myLot for my walk along the ocean?
The air, the breeze, a great walking buddy, and my love of walking in the sunshine are calling to me.
I need to keep fit and my weight in check. All I seem to do in Florida is eat out or in. Tonight we are going to have dinner at my brother's condo, only a 40 second walk from our condo. We always use the stairs.
Do you make it a point to exercise regularly? (Cleaning the house and doing yard work does not count. I do that, too! Lol!)

With my bad knees I don't get out and walk as much as I'd like. I don't blame you for getting away from the computer and enjoying a stroll along the beach

If I lived near the ocean I would walk alongside it every day. Great therapy!

Actually, cleaning the house and doing yard work does count, but I don't do either. I exercise and walk, like you do, sometimes at the sea. How warm/cool was it when you were out enjoying yourself?

@DianneN You know what winter is like up north. I heard you speak of it (here) and so you wouldn't be surprised when I tell you I went out for a nice walk this morning and almost fell on my butt. With the sun warmth this time of year it is making the ice slick. I'm sure glad I kept my balance.
We can have a look for the goodness in this crazy life for sure and see all our blessings then just enjoy it.

@DianneN Oh I used to ramble for far more than 2 hours on the wild and windy shore I lived on..only 50 steps away..I spent long hours, happy hours, searching for sea glass and soothing my soul.

@TiarasOceanView Of course you did, especially with your name! Lol! I did that, too, in my heyday. I grew up on the beach.

Stairs are wonderful. We have two levels at home, plus the basement and attic. I rarely go to the attic, but am in the basement all the time. That's where our laundry room is located. Lol! Try lugging loads of laundry up and down every day. I should be skinny by now!

@DianneN , savour every moment. I am so glad you had a lovely walk, and I hope your weekend is being fabulous. Dianne, I also like walking, and now that we are heading for fall, I can start taking walks again without melting. :)

You are so lucky to be able to walk by the ocean every day. Yesterday, my friend and i drove along the lake shore for a long ways. We stopped in a small tourist place, and walked on the boardwalk for a few minutes. There was still ice on the water, but it still felt good to get out and walk. Today is going to be a quite warm day, so I plan to go out again.

I get so lazy in the winter. But once the weather warms up I will be getting my exercise. My husband and I went on a 3 mile bike ride the other day. It's raining today so sitting on my behind lol.

I love the beach; looking for driftwood and sea glass on the beach, more than a concious walk on the beach, but looking for driftwood and sea glass one does walk a lot on the beach - and one even squats a lot too - if one bends as one should to pick something up off the ground or floor or sand - bend from the knees - when one stops to pick up driftwood or sea glass. I don't go to the beach often enough, or as much as I used to. I will go visit the beach more often sometime in the future though. Other than that (which in now so seldom), I do try and do a parkrun once a week; I've done over 30 in the past 12 months - hmm, lots of times I missed doing a parkrun, then, as it should be closer to 52 parkrun runs that I've done now, if I do one a week!

You won't catch me bending over to pick up driftwood, shells, or sea glass in a bathing suit! Lol! I'm a walker, rather than a jogger. It's better for the knees, so I've been told, but I run out of breath. How long do you run? I only made it for 1.1 mile. Lol!

@teresaschultz Walking is my thing. I have walked 15 miles twice without even realizing it. Keep up the good work and have fun!!!

@DianneN All parkrun runs across the world are 5km (about 3.1 miles). Many people walk the entire 5km parkrun distance - no running at all. I usually try and get to about 3km (running) before I walk/run the last 2km. Of the 30 something I've done in the past year I've only managed to run the entire 5km about 4 times. There's just something about a parkrun that keeps people coming again and again. Great community of people. And it's even better when part of the route takes in the beach too.

I miss our Florida Beach that I walked every morning for a month. The sound of the waves were wonderful. Now how, I go to the Y 5 days a week to keep myself healthy. I love feeling good.

I take a yoga class twice a week, play table tennis and work at a part-time retail job that requires a lot of walking.

You're living a fine life. I exercise regularly - usually aerobic exercise and core muscle strengthening exercises like sit ups, push ups. I'm motivated because I don't like falling sick.
