Two more weeks and it's Easter. Traditionally, the day of Easter, people exchange small gifts, such as chocolate bunnies or the chocolate eggs. They are both very popular. Today I have paid a visit to the supermarket to check what they have for Easter. There were plenty of chocolate bunnies, and also some decorative bunnies that look very cute for an Easter table. I have taken a picture to show the different decorations, it's hard to choose. Would you prefer to receive a chocolate egg or a chocolate bunny?

I would take chocolate anything! Out here they have had the Easter goods out just before Valentine's Day even came (before February 14th)!! I hope to finish my Easter buying this week before all the good stuff is gone!

@LadyDuck Out here, they are in such a rush that they may start taking down Easter and make room for the next holiday before Easter is here!

the shape matters little to me, the kind of choc does, but say I like them both? Then I might get the bunny as the shape is fun to eat

I only like dark chocolate, but both the eggs and the bunnies come in milk, dark, white and hazelnut chocolate.

@Jessicalynnt It is chocolate in hazelnuts in it. I also do not like plain milk chocolate and do not care about the white. My husband loves the white (that in fact is not real chocolate, but cocoa butter).

@LadyDuck I can eat milk IF there is nuts or something in it, not plain. White is disgusting. And I'd still rather have dark. I have had choc with hazelnuts in it, but not hazelnut flavored chocolate.

I think it depends on how big the egg is. I got one a few years ago from someone and it was huge and took me a long time to eat - days, but it was worth it. If the egg is small, then I would want the bunny. Or both. I love chocolate.

I like the big eggs because there is a "surprise" inside, usually a small plush, they are cute.

@just4him The big eggs sold here are always hollow, because the custom is to put a gift inside the egg.

@LadyDuck The big eggs I like are solid chocolate, nothing inside. I don't like filled chocolates.

Easter bunny chasing egg
If you end up with both, remember to keep them apart. You do not want the bunnies chasing those poor eggs around.

@LadyDuck Problems have been sent away. Inlaws will return on 25th March. But the good thing is that wifey and me got to speak to each other and have identified the problems. Now, we are looking out for a place on rent where I can have a secluded room for work and living. That way interactions between me and them (in-laws) will be cut down and hopefully, they will not continue discussing me all again.

As you can see in the photo, the bunnies come in many sizes. I like the medium/big eggs because they contain a small gift. I do not buy eggs or bunnies for me from many years, but I will offer them to my friends on Easter.

The bunnies are so adorable! I'd love to have chocolate bunny! We don't really celebrate Easter here, hence I don't see see chocolate eggs or bunnies in the shopping malls here. I am not sure how it is this year, as I haven't been going out to supermarkets or malls for quite a long time. The first time I knew about Easter is when I was studying in Australia, it's really so exciting to see many chocolate products out there, and we went to an Easter fair. I always wonder why bunnies and eggs for Easter.

Compare to other western festivals, Easter is not very popular. I just know that there will be Easter eggs and that's all. But I am sure the businessmen will think out some ideas to have the promotions. I hope you will have a nice Easter!
