What are you up to today? If it were sunnier and warmer, I'd be out cycling. But it's cloudy and cool, and I can't tell if it's going to rain.
So far, I've: brewed up a cup of coffee, eaten an avocado slice, taken a better picture of some KLH 17s I'm selling on Craigslist, responded to some MyLot comments, watched a funny Chris Rock video (How not to get your ass kicked by the police), and talked to my Aunt in NY.
My options for now: grade some in-class assignments from last week, write up a progress note from yesterday's kid client, drive down to Mountain View to return some woodworking stuff that's done, practice my mandolin, or sit here and MyLot some more.
What would you choose? What are your options for today?

I was going to go for a ride, but my girlfriend is sick, so I'll be stuck here at home.

I got up, made a cup of coffe and a sausage biscuit, and then my wife and I went to early voting. When we got home we cleaned up and raked the side yard. We'd done the front yard last week. Then I downloaded the cover and interior templates to use for publishing a paperback version of my 5th book.
If I had your options, I think I'd take a drive and then come home and practice my mandolin.

@TheHorse The book is about a fifteen year old girl who is a recovering cutter who was raped at age twelve and everyone blamed her for enticing the nice young boy into it. She, her mom, and her sister get moved to a house at the beach by her father so he can fool around back home. The girl tries to stay inside the wall she's built around herself, and the book is about how coastal healing works it's way inside those walls.

@TheHorse I read that, too, when I was doing research for my book. Some of the things I read and watched literally turned my stomach. I wrote the book in honor of a colleague of mine who was a cutter as a teen and recovered to go on to become one of the best teachers I've ever worked with.

Let's see. It's 4:30 at the moment. I have exercised, taken two big walks, read and enjoyed the gorgeous weather. That's it. Lazy days in retirement are a result of working my brains out for 40 years. Your time will come too.

@ElizabethWallace Yes, a friend of mine (from my Grad School days in SB) is moving back down there. He finally got fed up with the violence and craziness up here. I DID swim in the ocean in Summers when I lived there. Often, it took a few hours for the fog to burn off. We also did some hiking in the Santa Ynez Mountains.

@TheHorse Santa Barbara is very pretty. The weather is usually nice, but far colder than farther south. Expensive!

@fishtiger58 I'll have to check it out. I enjoyed the way it was before Wrigley became a yuppie sensation.

@TheHorse I'm hoping for an amazing season out of the cubs, it's only 23 days to opening day. Can't wait. The bleachers are much nicer there days, they redid them.

I slept in and enjoyed the peace around here. My grandson is gone until tomorrow. Ah, it is nice and quiet.

For me all days are the same doing things I love to do as I am a free bird.

I envy you people because my day started on a pessimistic and damp footing. I left congested hamlet in a mess since I had a catalogue of online assignments to accomplish. I had woken up late with a harried look. My day was made by an acquaintance of mind who gave me a lift in his saloon car, a shiseido. I don't know whether there was anybody with such experiences. How to beat the blues?

When the day stretched ahead of me I had some high hopes of getting many many things done. Now I see that I did very little. Some responses here, some housework and a couple mystery shop reports. No getting outside on the beautiful day. Well except to hang out laundry

I'm done with my plans for the day. Not that interesting. Just finished my laundry and I'm done cleaning my room. Now, I dedicate the rest of my hours myLotting.

You are near the bay area, so I think you are supposed to get more rain.
