Can pets sense earthquakes?

Years ago a sismologist from The west was visiting China. Suddenly the people began running out of their houses. They had been warned of an earthquake that had not yet happened. What do you think warned them it was comming. I'll tell you the answer later

I'm sure that they can. I don't live in an area where it's common to have earthquakes, but we do have a lot of storms and tornados. I do know that pets can sense the really bad storms and tornadoes and know that they are coming long before I do.

ya pets can easily sense earthquake and they become very restless....almost all animals can sense,except the human being...

I read some research that showed that birds can sense them and I have a friend in CA that swears her horses know... so would guess that dogs and cats could as well.

I have heard that pets and animals can feel the earthquakes or some diaster or destruction that is going to happen in advance

Pets can sense all sorts of things. They know when the weather will turn and if you're not feeling well to name a couple.
