Lots Of User Not Interacting Anymore

Do you find that a lot of Mylot users are not interacting so much anymore?
I just wondered it they lost interest in Mylot or if they are too busy in real life?
Have you noticed the same thing lately?
There seems to be more new users, some of them writing a one liner and thinking that it is the way to do it. I am afraid that those users will not get too much attention.
I hope that Mylot will pick up soon.

@sugartoes Yes, I have noticed that you are a very good interacting person.

@sugartoes I know that you always do, but there are several who never do.

The site has been less active for a few weeks now, although that could be incidental rather than lack of interest.
I am probably one of the members who has become a little less interactive recently, which is due to the difficulty I have at times with my eyesight. Of course that should change once my eyesight issues are resolved.

@GardenGerty It will be seriously disappointing if it goes wrong again.

I hope the work they do on your eyesight is truly beneficial.

Yes, I forgot, the nice sunny weather we had for a few days also kept me away from the computer.

I have been working three jobs so that is why I cannot always comment as much as I want, and it always seems that the phone or something takes me away from mylot.

I think it fluctuates but it isn't as busy as it used to be a few years ago.
One thing I've noticed over the last few days is that there are members posting nice discussions and getting good responses but they don't get back to even a single person.
I don't mean they get back to a few, they get back to nobody.
Now, no matter how interesting their discussion, I don't respond to them.

@Mike197602 that is actually the fun part at least for me. To get back on here and go through my notifications and respond to those who have responded to my posts. Some responses I just like because I simply agree with what the person has responded but I will write a full response when it is expected.

@RasmaSandra yes, a like at least shows it's been read but I don't like it when there are no comments/likes on any responses and the discussion is a month old or so.
Makes me not interested in getting back to those people.

@sugartoes that is definitely a good possibility. It would sure make a lot of sense.

I have come onto Mylot the last three days with no notifications. Odd, even for the weekend.

I have been missing a little bit and not as active. I am getting busier and do not find much time but when I am on myLot ~ I have a nice time, it's therapeutic but I have seen some newbies too.

I try to get here most days, sometimes I cannot get here. I did not make it here at all this past weekend. I have just caught up with all my notification from the weekend though. It does seem to be a lot slower. It is like only a handful of us post faithfully.

@marlina I wonder why they are not posting much. I am sure we will see it fall off a lot here with spring around the corner.

I noticed this weeks ago and it's getting worse. I know exactly what you mean.

@marlina No it isn't, I could write a list of names that are gone.

@amadeo I will be missing a lot more once it's nice out, especially when we open the pool. I've given up too much 'summer' over the years by being on sites like this instead of outside enjoying life.

I can't say that I've noticed... I ususally stay within my small group of people I'm following .... like you... I'm not sure a 1 line post could produce much interaction....

I think Mylot management has to look into the earning algo.
If they stop paying for those short comments, then the users will write longer and thoughtful comments.
By then, the trend will be back to the style of old Mylot.
That time we focus on fewer discussions but we wrote longer for those discussions that interested us.

It seems like it. Maybe they are probably busy.
