What are your views about Casual Sex?

I think that sex is not just something physical. It has mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions too. Casual sex has never appealed to me. I think when something as sex is misused, it either leaves you attached with your sex partner, or emotionally damages you. Not to mention the risk of contracting STDs and unwanted pregnancies.

I agree with jj.
As long as both parties are over the age of consent and both know what they're doing going in then I think it's fine.
Casual things will be fine for some whereas others it may not suit.
For people that may be described as clingy or possibly overly emotional casual relationships probably aren't a good idea.

I grew up in a time when it was not something that we did so I don't know now that I'm older, if I could change the way we did things back then. I'm thinking... probably not.

I think it is not something for me, but some people seem to be able to handle it. I am looking for a relaionship not to play games. There has to at least be a potential there, and if the other person isn't on the same wavelenght there is no point, someone always gets hurt.

I think you should also recognise that Western and Indian societies are very different on this point and the emotional damage suffered by someone in a country that sees such things as taboo, may not be suffered by those in more liberal societies. It's not for me but lots of people don't seem to have any problem with sleeping around.

Unless a partner is not emotionally attached with the other partner, they should not get involved in physical relationship.

You're right. Though it might be morally acceptable for some, being unhealthy is never 'cool'.
