Many people do think that sitting close to TV watching it and reading in a dim light will harm the vision. But, this is not true. Watching a TV sitting close to it will in no way cause any harm to the eyesight. It only strains the eyes and after some good sleep or rest the eyes will regain their strength and vision and this is in the way cause any damage to the vision. Similarly, reading in a dim light can only strain the eyes and it will never cause any damage to the vision.
