He Just Has to be Nice to You

No it's not a demand or an instruction, or even something you automatically expect of him. It's just a statement of logic; it's just common sense.
When he's nice to you, you know where you stand. There's no more a feeling of being lost between worlds. There's no sitting on the fence.
He doesn't even have to be with you to be nice to you. He can sometimes love you from afar. A word or two about his plans, his whereabouts, and that he's thinking of you.
A bit of news from him can make you smile, and can make you feel secure and loved. He'll feel better too, if he can help you feel no longer blue.
He just has to be nice to you.

@jaboUK yes, it's definitely a two-way thing - or should be.

And that kind of communication is so important in keeping a relationship strong.
